Ash Wednesday to Easter Sunday

Of the 65,000 words in the Gospels of the New Testament, nearly 32,000 were spoken by Jesus. Jesus’ words stand apart from the rest when printed in red, as they are in some Bibles. The red-letter words of Jesus tell compelling stories and make bold proclamations that inspire, challenge, and sometimes even confuse us.  The red letters of Scripture were relevant when they were first spoken over 2,000 years ago and they still remain relevant today. Join Ortega Church in worship and shared devotional study as we explore the words of Jesus in red letters together through the season of Lent. 

Our Lenten journey begins with an Ash Wednesday Observance, February 22 at 6:30pm in the sanctuary and continues in weekly worship and daily devotions to Easter Sunday, April 9.
