Life Groups
What is a Life Group?
We believe that connecting as a community is key to fostering love, encouragement and a deeper connection with the Holy Spirit. And one of the best ways to find community is by joining a Life Group.
Life Groups are small groups of adults who are in similar stages of life. We meet weekly or biweekly to have fun, build relationships and grow in Christ.
Throughout our lives, God presents us with “times to weep, to laugh, to mourn and to dance” (Ecclesiastes 3). Your Life Group is there to walk with you in every season.
How do I sign up for a Life Group?
Our Life Groups take place during two semesters each year: January through May and August through December. The best time to join a Life Group is at the start of one of these semesters.

Women’s Bible Study
Mondays,1p.m. and Tuesdays, 1p.m. (Parlor)
Begin a journey of transformation with other women by building friendships and engaging in community together through our weekly bible studies. These Bible studies offer large-group teaching and small-group discussion on a range of Bible, and topical issues for women of all ages and stages of spiritual growth. Whether you have been studying the Bible for years, or looking for a first-time study, Women’s Bible Study at Ortega Church is a great place to start!
Men’s Bible Study- Wednesday Night
Wednesday Evenings at 7 p.m. in Room 4
Join us as we dig deeper into God’s word together. Utilizing a variety of curriculums and resources, our Wednesday Night Men’s Bible Study offers a chance to learn about and enjoy God’s word with thought-provoking discussion.
Re-Discovery Class
Wednesday Evenings at 6 p.m. in the Parlor
Re-Discovery provides a mid-week renewal of our faith, along with the opportunity to build new relationships with members who are comfortable in their own skin and have a youthful mindset. Join us as we study a variety of biblical topics and how they relate to our lives and community. Followed by dinner at local establishments for fellowship and laughter!
Thursday Morning Men’s Group
Thursday Mornings at 6:45 a.m. in the Parlor
The best way we know to develop men to be authentic followers of Jesus Christ is through small groups. This Thursday morning gathering of men who meet weekly in the Parlor strives to incorporate three important and necessary components of following Christ: biblical truth, deepening friendships, and outward impact.
Women’s Prayer Group
Every Other Thursday Morning at 10:30 a.m. in the Education Building
Calling all women prayer warriors! Join us weekly as we look to the Lord for answers – praying over the concerns and joys of our church family. The group prays over all the concerns sent in through Prayer Ministry as well as those brought to the attention of those in the group.

Open Door
Sunday Mornings at 9:30 a.m., Room 4 – Education Building
The name says it all! Come one, come all, and join us on Sunday mornings as we grow in faith and Christ using a variety of teaching materials and styles.
Bible Believers
Sunday Mornings at 9:30 a.m., Room 7
Delve deep into Scripture while enjoying fellowship and building relationships. This class includes an in-depth analysis of Scripture and offers principles to apply these sacred passages to everyday life.
Renovate
Sunday Mornings at 9:30 a.m. in the Parlor
The Renovate class blends traditional and contemporary Bible-based curriculum to foster the study and application of Biblical principles in everyday life.
Ortega Methodist Women
We are a community of women whose purpose is to know God and to experience freedom as whole persons through Jesus Christ; to develop a creative, supportive fellowship; and, to expand concepts of mission through participation in the global ministries of the Church. Our OMW fellowship is divided into small groups that meet throughout the year.
